The religious Right live in a bubble inside a soundproof lockbox at the bottom of an ideological ocean from which no man or woman can return to reality alive.
Tea Party Unity founder Rick Scarbrough spoke with conservative activist and monumental moron Peter LaBarbera got together to hate on gays the Christian way! While discussing ways to deal with the homosexual agenda that is threatening to overtake America by force.
LaBarbera suggests a media storm of “ex-gay” propaganda:
“We need to work on our conservative, alternate media and say, ‘look, don’t do the pro-gay thing, why don’t you rather step out and support these ex-gays?’ We should encourage Fox News to tell their stories. Fox is now telling the stories of black conservatives because the other media is not doing that, we should all get on Fox and say, ‘come on, tell these stories, these wonderful stories of happy men and women who have left the homosexual lifestyle.”
Scarborough decides that propaganda is not enough, though. What we really need is a class action lawsuit against the gay agenda! You know, like we did with tobacco!
“Peter, the whole issue of a class action lawsuit, you and I have talked about this a little bit. I just wonder if you’ve explored that, talked to anyone about it. Obviously, statistically now even the Centers for Disease Control verifies that homosexuality much more likely leads to AIDS than smoking leads to cancer. And yet the entire nation has rejected smoking, billions of dollars are put into a trust fund to help cancer victims and the tobacco industry was held accountable for that. Any thoughts on that kind of an approach?”
Interesting point about the CDC, Mr. Scarborough! In 2008, the CDC reported that more deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by “HIV, illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined.” The CDC has never, to my knowledge even alluded to anything that resembles the merest possibility of having a similarity to a claim that homosexuality has a higher risk of causing AIDS than smoking, cancer. I’d like to see the data, please. Hell, the CDC does actually say that homosexuals are at higher risk for diseases and bad health behaviors. The reason? The negative effects of a homophobic society, of course!
Frankly, I want to see this happen, because they will lose–they will lose so badly that their great, great, grandchildren will be paying the debt that they will incur from the countersuit. Remember: if we are functioning by the logic that false information and supposed CDC statements that never occurred is cause to sue the entire gay community, it does go both ways. Let’s do this! Bring it on, Teavangelicals! Remember: while you have no evidence to support your ridiculous claims or your monumentally stupid ideas, the entire gay community has witness testimony, actual CDC data, and numerous recorded statements to support their case.
Do it! Let’s see how this plays out!
