Twelve year old Reginald Wells, a student at Willie Ray Smith Middle School in Beaumont, TX, received the shock of his life when he was sucker punched by someone he never expected would hit him: Michael Fisher, a teaching assistant in his math class.
After Reginald cracked a joke about Fisher’s favorite football team the responsible, mature 24-year-old adult punched Reginald in the shoulder. Reginald responded with a return push to the teacher’s shoulder, which earned the child a brutal knockout punch to the face–an uppercut, according to a teacher who witnessed the events.
Michael Fisher was fired and escorted from school grounds, but not arrested. He writes his decision to punch a 12-year-old off as having a “bad day.
Wells’ mother has filed a police report, livid that no arrest was made. She is currently seeking legal representation to more properly tackle the issue.
Pretty awful, right? A teacher’s assistant hit a child. The reason does not matter. The races involved do not matter. All that matters is that a worthless excuse for an adult harmed a child over a FOOTBALL JOKE…
