Shocking news everyone! Bill O’Reilly lied when he said racism is over.
The KKK did their best to prove O’Reilly wrong by setting up a recruitment event a the Gettysburg National Military Park last Saturday. Of course, their “recruitment” event was really just a rally to essentially spread hate in as many directions as possible while calling for an “all-white revolution.”
According to the group’s self-described racist vice president, Albert Fike:
We’re not coming here to cause hardship or bother people visiting. Basically we are out there to show other proud white people that we are here if they’re interested in joining.
The bizarre conduct exhibited would certainly bother any sane person, though. Just like the totally not racist Chimp Out topics, their themes ranged from hating black on white violence (other violence is okay), hating immigration, hating Jews, hating gays, hating Obama—you get the idea. The klan members spoke through a megaphone from a fenced portion of a field off of Taneytown Road in the Pennsylvania park. One klan member was even quoted as saying
“We are taking back this land…anyone that stands in our way, they’re going in the ground.”
The bold revolt of entitled white people with too much time on their hands was off to a rocky start though, as confused and offended observers soon outnumbered the group. Barbs began to be traded as police sat on horseback in case of an outburst.
As the group of onlookers began using their own first amendment rights to show their distaste, the hate-mongers grew indignant. One even threatened the group, stating:
“We remember what you look like, everybody.”
What a compliment, considering the faces of those sickening bigots will likely be forgotten by the end of the week. They will fade into memory, as time passes, into the unimportant agents behind the final pathetic death throes of the decaying KKK.
Racism is far from over, but it thankfully continues to lose popularity at every turn.
