Homelessness is usually something we’re confronted with only at a passing glance. It’s easy for us to brush off the nameless figures as people who’ve settled in a rough spot in their adult lives.
This is how we convince ourselves that’s it’s okay to keep moving forward. What more can we do? But when we see the tragedy of homeless citizens being told from the perspective of a child, there are no more excuses for looking the other way.
Project Hope Alliance is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in Orange County, California. They strive to move homeless families out of motels and shelters into affordable homes of their own, and to provide homeless children a proper education and brighter future.
Please take the time the watch a short story they made about a little boy named Mark. His story allows us to see the world through his eyes in this heartbreaking video.
