Earlier this week, it was reported that teenagers, particularly in inner cities were terrorizing innocent pedestrians in a game called “Knockout.” It is a sick game where teens randomly sucker-punch strangers with the goal of knocking them unconscious with a single blow.
In Lansing, Michigan, one teenager was caught by surprise as a victim of the attack shot back. Seventeen year-old Marvell Weaver approached a man with a stun-gun. The man, however, was carrying a concealed pistol and when he was attacked, he shot Weaver two times.
Weaver was in the hospital, but sustained non-lethal injuries. He was charged and imprisoned for felony assault with a stun gun.
In a letter of apology Weaver wrote to the victim:
“I don’t blame you for what you did,” he wrote. “You were only trying to protect yourself. I only wish I could go back to change it to were (sic) I never did it.”
