Sarah Palin, in yet another display of her overblown sense of self importance, told the talking heads at Fox and Friends on Thursday that she can handle the attack from Martin Bashir — but she worries that it could discourage others from starting a business or entering the public arena.
“My role is to accept his apology and be humble enough and to, you know, accept it and move on. But I just hope that unprovoked attacks like that don’t result in people being hesitant to jump in the arena anyway, to get out there and serve the public or start a business or really commit themselves to changing within their family, their community, their world, doing whatever they can despite the fact that, in this world, you are going to be hurt and attacks will come your way.”
She went on to say that personal attacks are never acceptable and that there is a double standard when conservative women are concerned.
It is not surprising at all that she does not see the hypocrisy in this statement. How often have we heard her attack the President, not only on policy but at the personal level? She is correct, there is a double standard, we just disagree as to who has that double standard.
