“Dr. Chaps” is at it once again, this time preaching politics about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) — the bill he calls the “Bathroom Bill.” The one-time Navy chaplain who was expelled from the Navy for refusing to follow an order not to wear his uniform to a protest ranted about ENDA on his television show “Pray In Jesus’ Name.”
House Speaker John Boehner has said that he will not give the ENDA bill a vote, where the bill is currently stalled. However, a Senate version has already passed, and Democrats are telling the President they feel it is time for him to take action on it by using an executive order. The bill would ban workplace discrimination against LGBT federal contractors. Contrary to Klingenschmitt’s hysteria, ENDA is not coming to a restaurant toilet near you.
That has “Dr. Chaps” Gordon Klingenschmitt, all shook up. He took to his pulpit to express his bigotry and worry that men might pretend to be pre-operative transgendered women to get into the women’s bathroom to get a peek of women washing their hands.
“They don’t even need a sex change operation,” he said. “They just need to pretend, ‘Oh someday I want to be a man’ so a woman can do into the man’s room or ‘someday I want to be a woman’ so the man can go into the ladies’ room. This co-ed bathroom bill is going to violate your wives’ and daughters’ privacy in every public restaurant in America.”
We here at AATTP are unsure what he thinks women actually do in the ladies’ room, but we want to assure the good chaplain so he can rest assured, we don’t tinkle standing up, and we make sure the door is closed.
[box type=”shadow”]”What does the legislation actually say? What is Nancy Pelosi trying to push, and Jered Polis, the homosexual congressman, and Al Franken, the pro-homosexual congressman from Minnesota, what are these Democrats really trying to push? No one wants to read the law. Let’s read the test from the actual law the ENDA bill says that Christian business owners must permit any ’employee that has notified the employer that the employee has undergone or is undergoing gender transition, in other words a sex change operation, either after the time of employment or to adhere to the same dress and grooming standards as apply for the gender to which the employee has transitioned or is transitioning…'[/box]
Here comes the cherry-picking, where Klingenschmitt works himself up into a fine, hateful state of self-righteous glory.
[box type=”shadow”]”You know what the Bible says in 1st Corinthians 6? ‘Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?’ Now what kind of benefits should they receive? The Bible says ‘don’t be deceived, neither the effeminate nor the homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the spirit of our God.’ If they’re not going to get eternal benefits in Heaven why should we give them government rewards here on this earth? I don’t think we should.”[/box]
The law does not single out Christians, but rather federal contractors. But why would a guy who thinks Wendy Davis is possessed with a “demon of murder” and Obamacare causes cancer bother himself with facts?
Dr. Chaps Klingenschmitt just wants you to know that if the Bible doesn’t endorse you, then neither should the government. If you aren’t a card-carrying heterosexual who has always adhered to the tenets of sexual behavior as defined by the Bible, then the government shouldn’t be paying for your health care.
Apparently this loon thinks only parts of the Bible are worthy of attention, so the words of the founding fathers should be cherry-picked, too, such as this quote from Thomas Jefferson:
[box type=”shadow”]”I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.”[/box]
Watch Dr. Chaps get his hate on here, and try not to throw your screen out into the yard. It’s too cold to be fishing around in the snow for it, really.
