Daily Show correspondents Jordan Klepper and Michael Che offered up some gun safety tips for Open Carry America. It’s so hard to tell if the unstable person with an AK-47 wants to do you harm, so the Daily Show decided to help ‘Murika become a less deadly place with “Second Amendment Do’s and Don’ts.”
Klepper reminded Open Carry activists that “When you bring your gun to a restaurant, DO calmly inform the other patrons that you’re there to eat, and not to shoot anyone,” explained Klepper.
“And when you bring your gun to a restaurant, DON’T BE BLACK,” Che helpfully added. “Because even if you tell them you’re not going to shoot, they’re probably not going to believe you.”
“DO keep several copies of the Bill of Rights in your pocket to pass around to angry mothers and terrified busboys,” Klepper later added.
If you’re black, of course, Che reminds you, “Don’t reach in your pockets for anything. Keep your hands visible at all times.”
