Donald Trump, we have missed you, at least as Saturday Night Live veteran Darrell Hammond, who returned for a brilliant impersonation last weekend.
In a show rich with SNL alumni, Darrell Hammond made Trump even more obnoxious than he is in real life.
Did anyone actually think that was possible?
The cast did the last Republican debate on CNN in an opening skit, and mocked all nine of the real candidates, but Jeb Bush seemed to get the worst of it, all from Trump.
In a near-replica, Hammond’s Trump called the Floridian candidate (Beck Bennett) “poor, sweet Jeb Bush,” and the pretend Bush was way out of his league.
Hammond targeted Bush as a lightweight and baited him for acting like a girl:
“I know for a fact that you pee sitting down.”
Then the SNL writers did a take-off on Trump’s infamous search for President Obama’s nonexistent Kenyan birth certificate, with Hammond as Trump demanding to see Jeb’s U.S. birth certificate.
Then, Trump claimed he had discovered Bush’s birth certificate and that Jeb’s real name is “Jeborah.”
In a grand finale, the two simulated candidates did their own little political dance:
“Jeb’s a very nice man. But he is basically a little girl. Folks this is true, I got a hold of Jeb’s birth certificate, full disclosure, his real name is Jeborah.”
“That’s not true!”
“Jeborah, Jeborah, Jeborah.”
“Hey, that’s not my name.”
“Yeah? Jeborah, losers say what?”
“What? Oh Dang it. No!”
