MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow aired a report on the weather — which isn’t usually news. Except when it is. The weather is bad all over the country this winter, and especially in the southern states where people unaccustomed to having to live in snow, work in snow, go to school in snow, keep warm in snow, and particularly drive in snow are having a hard time dealing with stand-still traffic that leaves them stranded and walking to the nearest public building for shelter. People are camping out in grocery stores and restaurant floors for warmth and shelter.
Some folks are so shocked by…snow…that they can only assume that something this cataclysmic can’t really be snow. Queue the conspiracy theories.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reports from, “It must be a conspiracy to make you think it’s snow!” She quotes form one popular conspiracy theory website:
[box type=”shadow”]”There is no doubt in many minds that there is some sort of geo-engineering going on across the Nation, and around the world. What we do not know, is the specifics behind it, and what the purpose is. We do know though that the strongest military weapon a military could posses is one that can manipulate the weather at will. “[/box]

Maddow continues, “See it’s not snow, it’s a military attack on the South that looks like snow, a chemical attack of some kind. Or maybe zillions of tiny nanobots that look like snow but right now they’re crawling into your back teeth to bug ya later!”
Maddow goes on to relate how one website, Newsie, complied hundreds of videos of people “burning” snow to “prove” that the snow was in fact not snow.
Maddow fights to keep a straight face as people try to connect burning snow to the evil government that is coming after your rights.
Watch Rachel Maddow hilariously take apart burning snow, conspiracy theorists, and stupidity all in one shot.
