Hey! Have you heard about that show Duck Dynasty? You know, the one where khaki-loving yuppies go in front of a camera and pretend to be “good ol’ boys” from the south? Well, you may have also heard that thanks to the superfluous anti-gay comments given by Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson, he is now on “indefinite hiatus” and apparently this Louisiana patriarch and entrepreneur has been openly talking about “gross sexual immorality” for quite a while.
TMZ released a video of Robertson giving a supposed anti-gay “sermon” to Pennsylvania’s Berean Bible Church’s Wild Game Supper, in 2010.
“First they say, ‘There is no God. Get him out of your mind,” Robertson says.
“Then they bow down to birds, animals and reptiles, and each other. And the first thing you see coming out of them is gross sexual immorality. They will dishonor their bodies with one another, degrade each other. Uh, is that going on in the United States of America? Look around. God’s not there… And boy is there some immorality going on around here. Does it get worse?”
Yes, actually it does get worse.
“Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions,”
Robertson then claims those “women with women, men with men” — gay people — as “full of murder, envy, strife, hatred,” and “insolent, arrogant, God-haters,” who are “heartless,” “faithless, “senseless,” and “ruthless.”
According to this nut-job, gay people “invent ways of doing evil.”
“That’s what you have 235 years, roughly, after your forefathers founded the country. So what are you gonna do Pennsylvania? Just run with them? You’re going to die. Don’t forget that.”
