When a reporter asked House Speaker John Boehner (R-Orangeville) about the 800,000 workers furloughed by the government shutdown, he immediately changed the subject.
“The House has voted to keep the government open. But we also want basic fairness for all Americans under Obamacare,” Boehner sheepishly replied.
Not expanded coverage mind you, but fairness.
When pressed about the workers forced into an already shaky economy, the Speaker exited stage right. Not even a teardrop in sympathy.
The party that stated jobs creation was a priority is actually creating more unemployment. Even if the furloughs are temporary. And sane Americans can only hope that is the case.
Try to imagine what other type of job the kamikaze GOP could find.
To reiterate, long vacations, no understanding of duties, on the take, and when shutting down the operation they insist on still being paid. Oh…and total disrespect to folks in management.
Question: why isn’t the act of sabotaging legislation enacted, signed and Constitutionally vetted, an impeachable offense?
