In a recent interview with CNN, Sarah Palin was asked about advice she would give a woman who planned to run for president (a topic she must be familiar with). Palin responded:
She can expect that sexism, but you overcome it. You ignore it. You thicken your skin, you march forward with your agenda, your priorities, what you think is right. Hillary Clinton was mistreated when it came to appearances, when it came to wardrobe – petty, superficial things that the men don’t ever seem to hear much about, but a woman candidate will.
Jake Tapper interrupted her train of thought by observing that “Governor Christie hears about his appearance.”
To which Palin replied:
That’s because it’s been extreme, okay. So it’s hard for some people not to comment on it.
Sarah Palin has recently made her feelings clear about Governor Christie and his re-election in New Jersey, criticizing him for his stance on immigration, gun control, and Obamacare. Until now, though, she hadn’t addressed Gov. Christie’s weight.
Christie has been battling weight issues for a long time, and has had the courage to discuss his aspirations for a healthier life. It’s no surprise that Palin responded with petty, classless behavior. In a crude attempt to gain attention, Palin once again exposed herself as a callous and uncaring person, embarrassing herself and our country, and anyone willing to support this monster should be ashamed of themselves.
