Heather Nauert at Fox and Friends reported how “sharia law” was taking over due to a YMCA in Minneapolis-St. Paul that plans to hold a girls-only swim class one hour a week, providing Somali refugee girls the chance to learn to swim. But, of course, since men are prohibited during this time in the pool area and the only female lifeguards and instructors will be present, this is an obvious indication of “the minority becoming the majority at one community pool. Sharia law is now changing everything,” as Nauert succinctly put it.
Somehow a swimming class for young girls is a totalitarian majority. It’s more surprising that Nauert didn’t claim that during that hour of refuge, the girls would be conspiring ways to create and deploy bombs under water. Luckily, in the real world, the Star-Tribune did a brief liberal media bias on one night at the tyrannical pool:
[box type=”shadow”]One evening last week, the din of girls’ laughter and splashes filled the windowless, humid pool room of the St. Paul downtown YMCA.
“Anybody want to try jumping in one more time?” asked an instructor.
“Me! Me! Me!” shouted a chorus of eager beginners, who wore mostly shirts and pants with their heads uncovered.
The group of about 25 girls, who were quiet and reserved earlier in the evening, seemed to come alive while in the water. With each jump, kick and splash, their confidence appeared to grow.[/box]
Apparently, the local tribune failed to notice these were Muslim girls. One thing is for sure — that kind of compassion would never be aired on Fox news. Thankfully, we can all count on Nauert to “keep watching the story for you.”
