One of the confusing things about the anti-vaxx movement is their dependence on the star power of individuals where the adjective “star” is questionable, like Jenny McCarthy. After all, just how many sane people are honestly going to get vaccination advice from Rob Schneider? However few it is, he must apparently believer a lot of people stop and say to themselves, “You know, I think I’ll get my medical advice from the brain behind Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo,” because he left a rambling, angry message on the voice mail of a California lawmaker this week noting he would do everything he could to unseat her next election.
According to Sacramento’s ABC10, the actor attacked Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez over her co-sponsoring a comprehensive childhood vaccination bill. The goal of the bill is to increase vaccination rates by closing the “personal belief” loophole, but the male gigolo does not approve:
She noted that “When I called him back he was actually much nicer to me, but let’s be honest…that is 20 mins of my life I’ll never get back arguing that vaccines don’t cause autism with Deuce Bigalow, male gigolo.”
Gonzalez added that “He just has faulty information. I told him I’d be more than happy to look at any study that’s a peer-review study, that’s scientific, to suggest the things that he was talking about. The problem is they don’t exist.”
California is currently in the middle a measles outbreak due to a lack of vaccinations, brought about by the idiotic, offensive, and dangerous belief that vaccinations cause autism.
