It seems as though Oscar winning actor Jon Voight has gone over the deep end. Voight’s conservative beliefs have been no secret and he has never been afraid to say something hateful about President Obama or the Democratic Party, but in his latest rant on Mike Huckabee’s Fox News program, he really went all in.
Blaming the turmoil in Iraq on Obama, the invented IRS and Benghazi scandals and he even went as far as to claim that the administration target disgraced filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza.
“Five years ago, I stated that Obama would take the country apart piece-by-piece, that he would cause a civil war in this country,” Voight said, continuing to claim that now in hindsight his predictions have come true.
He continued onto the Iraq war:
“My greatest heartache is that we sacrificed thousands of our American heroes liberating Iraq. Only for President Obama to pull out all our troops, leaving Iraq now to be taken over by terrorists”
He went on to remind everyone that Obama is ignoring Benghazi, “Let us not say what difference does it make. Obama found a perfect way to put this under the rug, blaming Republicans, saying that they just want to find fault with his administration. And still to this day we still not know the truth.”
He even carried on claiming that the Democratic Party is more socialistic in its way of thinking than in the past.
And to not leave out attacking women, Voight attacked Congresswoman Debbie Schultz, calling her “the gang leader for all the wrong information to our young women, convincing them that Republicans are stopping their liberties and freedoms of reproduction when the truth is, as the Supreme Court upheld, that religious freedoms are being infringed upon.”
Voight is parroting the latest Fox News and GOP talking points and leaves one to wonder why Fox is looking towards washed up actors for political commentary.
Perhaps bringing on actors that only their viewer base will recognize is a Fox strategy for keeping their aging audience engaged.
