In the wake of ISIS’ murder of American reporter James Foley and American-ordered airstrikes on ISIS targets in Iraq, one of the stupidest men in Congress is ringing the warning bell; in an interview with FOX 25, Republican Senator Jim Inhofe warned that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is going to attack a “major U.S. city.”
Inhofe also urged President Obama to adopt a more aggressive policy. Keep in mind, this is the same man Inhofe accused of celebrating Islam over his favored “Judeo-Christian” mystery religion. It seems funny he’d be begging the president for action after accusing the president of being sympathetic for the terrorists, don’t you think?
He told Fox 25 in Oklahoma City that “we’re in the most dangerous position we’ve ever been in as a nation,” and that,
“ISIS, they are really bad terrorists, they’re so bad even Al Qaeda is afraid of them. They’re crazy out there and they’re rapidly developing a method of blowing up a major U.S. city and people just can’t believe that’s happening.”
Why is our country in a dangerous situation? According to Inhofe, it’s the defense cuts that did it:
“He’s [President Obama] going to have to come up with something that we’re going to do because they’re holding another hostage in place and the problem is, the President says all these things and he never does them.”
Yes, I can see that being a problem. We only spent six times what the next country, China, spends on their military. Clearly, we need all 640 billion, and more, of that for safety reasons. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have the Wunderbar F-35 II Lightning here to protect us.
