Mark Levin has an idea–a pretty simple one, actually. Levin, who claimed that moderate Republicans support the “suicide of the nation,” supported the shutdown wholeheartedly, referred to Obamacare as a “top-down, iron-fisted, Soviet-style program,” and stated that attention on Syria was an effort to distract from the Right Wing effort to defund Obamacare, thinks that America is a “blue state right now!”
Appearing at the Value Voters Summit, he proposed a solution to the “Blue State” issue: Let’s change the Constitution! Levin, whose advice for fast food workers who want better pay is to “buy some stock in McDonalds,” said that through President Obama’s signature health care law, America was facing “tyranny“:
And the only way to address this is to find 34 state legislatures, and to take the time to do it. It took us a century to get here and so it make us 20 or 30 years get out of this. But we have no options. This is the only option. I don’t care if no senator or no member of Congress supports this, we bypass them. That’s the entire purpose of this project…”
Yeeeeeee-Haaaaawwwww! If the American people as a whole don’t agree with us, and Congress agrees with us less each day, and we don’t get exactly what we want–if the American people continue to defy what we, the tiny fringe group of nutjobs, want–we’ll just take control! All we need is 34 state legislatures–that shouldn’t be hard for an insane person to manage…right?
If you have one out-of-control Supreme Court, one out-of-control Congress and one out-of-control president, there’s no where to go!”
Can we really call a President and Congress that does not accede to your every demand “out of control,” Mark? You know where you CAN go? Yeah, Mr. Levin…you know.
