A Florida father who was texting during the previews in a movie theater, and shot dead by a retired Tampa police captain, was texting his daughter just moments before he died.
Both 43 year-old Chad Oulson and 71 year-old Curtis Reeves, the ex-cop who shot Ouson dead, were accompanied by their wives and waiting for the movie to start when Reeves picked a fight with Oulson about him texting his young daughter. Oulson died in the theater, and his wife was shot in the hand.
Reeves was arrested on a charge of second-degree homicide.
The Cobb theater where the shooting occurred has been temporarily closed for business.
