As we all know, President Obama orchestrated the Benghazi attack to distract from the (debunked) IRS “targeting” of Tea Party groups, which was supposed to distract from Fast and Furious, which was a distraction from Umbrellagate, which was a distraction from Foot-Desk-gate, which–look, it’s hard to tell in which direction conservatives are running these days. Let’s just agree that, in the end, it all boils down to weather control and FEMA camps.
Everything is a distraction from everything and nothing can have a pure motive in conservative media — so why should the capture of one of the architects of the Benghazi attack be any different? Who knows? Maybe he’s trying to distract from the Benghazi investigation. Wouldn’t that just be evil?
Conservatives have made a hobby of holding sham hearing after sham hearing in an effort to blame President Obama for the attack on the embassy in Libya. While they have been occupied with that, the Obama administration has been actually doing something, namely planning and executing the capture of Ahmed Abu Khattala.
Since this actual terrorist was responsible for the attacks, one may assume conservatives would be thrilled with the news of his capture. Unfortunately, anyone who would assume that does not pay attention to conservative media.
On FOX News’ Outnumbered, Kennedy had another theory:
“You have a former Secretary of State who is in the middle of a high profile book tour, I think this is convenient for her to shift the talking points to some of the things she has been discussing.”
Like wildfire, the sentiment spread through Crazytown.
For example, Rory Cooper, aide to soon-to-be-former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, tweeted:
Uncle Ruckus Allen West jumped on the opportunity to accuse the President of attempting to distract from …you know…the other distractions, as well.
Other conservatives are beginning to voice their suspicion that the capture of this known and wanted terrorist is simply an attempt to distract from…something–oh, and help Pantsuit McSocialist’s campaign she hasn’t announced.
Already, conservatives are questioning why President Obama took so long to apprehend one of the men responsible for the attack that has been the focus of pretty well every talking point in recent years.
So, for now, the only debate seems to be exactly what President Obama is trying to hide by keeping his promise to bring justice to those who perpetrated the attack.
