It seems that, while St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch didn’t want to indict Darren Wilson, he’s more than happy to indict everyone else.
McCulloch is facing some heat for beginning his 20-minute statement on the decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson with a slam against the media, for pushing what he considered a “distorted narrative of the shooting.”
McCulloch’s decision to open with an attack on the media, both social and general, has been described as “bizarre” by the Huffington Post and called an “extended whine” that was “completely inappropriate” by CNN legal analyst Jeffery Toobin.
Those remarks, however, were nothing compared to the heat that McCulloch faced online, for indicting everyone except for Darren Wilson:
Something tells me that if McCulloch had worked as hard on the case as he did on the bizarre 2o-minute statement he gave, Wilson might have been indicted.
Might have been. Either way, he’s earned all the invective that social media is willing to heap on him.
