A student at Carver Vocational High School in Baltimore was charged with assault, and teacher placed on administrative leave after a hallway brawl on Friday.
The incident occured when the student was asked to leave class for being on her cell phone.
The troubled child chose to verbally fight with her teacher.
On her way out of class, the student slid a chair in the direction of the teacher, and threw something across her desk.
A male student then appears, trying to hold his teacher back from assaulting the student.
The incident escalates in the hallway when the student throws a spiral-bound paper notebook at the teacher, sending her into a furious rage.
The teacher attacks, screaming:
“I’ll kill you up in here [expletive]; what the [expletive] you think this is.”
At one point the teacher gets a hold of the student, and slams her onto the cement floor.
Can you guess who was arrested for assault? The person who threw paper.
The adult who decided she was going to physically fight a child, and had many chances to compose herself, gets off clean.
If this teacher is not fired, and is allowed to continue working with children, something has to be done about it.
How can we allow trashy, violent people, who can’t even speak proper English, to teach?
The student’s aunt eloquently said:
“You’re supposed to be a role model to these children, and you took your shoes off and physically was fighting her like you was outside on the street.”
Between family and school administrators, this kid doesn’t have a chance.
Discipline and patience is key, not violence and ignorance to the issue at hand.
The teacher’s name has not been released in order to protect her from karma.
The student was arrested for assault and released to a parent.
