Anyone who’s ever watched Weeds or Breaking Bad knows the precarious life of a drug dealer requires preparing for all kinds of threats. But stashing away a large anti-tank rifle seems a bit paranoid, even by drug dealer standards.
KATU.Com reports the Snohomish County (Washington) Regional Drug and Gang Task Force arrested suspected drug dealer Aaron Knapp on Wednesday for attempting to “deliver a controlled substance.” The 40-year-old was outside of his storage unit at the time.
The Sheriff’s Office got a search warrant to search Knapp’s storage unit and his Mercedes, where they uncovered a pound of methamphetamines, half a pound of heroin, 15 guns, and “approximately” $40,000 in cash, and told KATU:
Of those firearms, 12 were military assault rifles (five of which were confirmed stolen), two were stolen handguns and one was a fully functional 20 mm anti-tank/sniper rifle.
Knapp is being held on $250,000 bail and is charged with possession of heroin and methamphetamines with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Yikes! So now, let’s ask the really scary questions: Who are Knapp’s enemies, and which one of them has the tank? The NRA claims it takes a good guy to stop a bad guy with a gun. But what happens when a bad guy with heavy artillery wants to stop some other bad guy with a freaking tank?
Find the anti-tank rifle.
This photo from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office shows Knapps’s extensive collection of fire arms. Can you find the anti-tank rifle? (Hint: It’s a bit larger than the other ones).
