Ted Nugent‘s downward spiral continues as he complains that he’s just being persecuted for doing God’s work. Right Wing Watch posted some of his latest nonsensical diatribe, in which he says he sees himself as merely a soldier taking flak from the enemy because he’s always destroying their agenda with his “truth.”
The thing is also full of delusions of grandeur. Right Wing Watch quoted some of the best (worst?) parts of his rant, where he said:
“They say that if you’re taking flak, you must be over the target. Well, lo and behold, the old Motorcity guitarslayer is not only directly over the target, I am obviously sitting deadcenter in the enemies’ own foxhole, driving them batty with my unstoppable onslaught of self-evident truth, logic, common sense and a tsunami of irrefutable evidence that obliterates their America-hating agenda.”
He went on to say:
“For the lying freaks over at the Huffington Post, Moveon.org and the scammers at the Southern Poverty Law Center to go to such extremes to constantly lie about me is proof positive that I am not only on the right track doing God’s work spotlighting the current infestation of cockroaches amongst us, but that they are clearly scared to death of me and virtually incapable of debating me one on one.”
The piece appeared in full on Whirled Nut Daily World Net Daily, and is full of vitriol and outright hate, which, of course, is only the result of the hate coming from horrid left-wing media like The Huffington Post, and the alleged scammers over at the Southern Poverty Law Center that he mentioned. (We here at Americans Against the Tea Party actually feel a little left out; he didn’t deign to name us. For him to do so would be an honor for us.)
He also says that all of this is “clearly the devious act of some kind of soulless subterranean pest,” to specifically send the American Communist Party to protest as his concerts, and then take his “accurately identified unclean vermin” comment and turn that around to mean that he was talking about Native Americans, when he was really talking about the communists. The delusions of grandeur become apparent when he claims that these organizations are terrified of him because he’s so good at exposing their lies, their hate, and their agenda to destroy America.
Ted Nugent’s most racist quotes…
If it’s true he wasn’t calling Native Americans “unclean vermin,” then it wasn’t very clear when he spouted that comment. He likes to claim he’s not a racist, but Media Matters for America has other quotes from him that demonstrate otherwise, including:
- Calling President Obama a subhuman mongrel;
- Calling Trayvon Martin a “dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe” and saying that he was evidence of “the mindless tendency to violence we see in black communities across America;”
- Claiming that the black community could solve racism against them by simply being better people;
- Wondering if it would have been better for the South to have won the Civil War;
- Saying that black rappers are “big uneducated greasy black mongrels;”
- Saying that real Americans are “working hard, playing hard, white mother******* sh** kickers who are independent.” [emphasis mine]
But wait! Maybe we’ve jumped the gun, here. There’s proof he’s not racist! At the end of his diatribe, he has a letter from his own personal assistant testifying to the fact that he’s warm, big-hearted, inclusive, tolerant, and above all, not racist.
He’s worked with Native American tribes, and been a keynote speaker at some of their events. We’re pretty sure some of his best friends are Native American, also. Or black, or brown, or something other than white. So, maybe this downward spiral isn’t really happening. But that’s probably not the case. Few people are more angry, hateful, and racist than he is.
