The washed up, never really talented Ted Nugent has continued to offer commentary about government and current affairs.
Apparently, Nugent gained access to computer and has managed to put words together for a blog post on a conservative website.
The New York Times wasn’t interested.
Not surprisingly, Nugent offered more of the same paranoid fear-mongering rhetoric, saying President Obama is a “monster” and “not qualified to drive his tour bus.”.
Nugent obviously didn’t get this memo, but discourse should have roots in actual facts and the semblance of sanity. People such as Nugent who rail against the current President often have no idea of his accomplishments and compromises.
In truth, many would be thrilled if the same set of actions were executed by a doddering old white man.
The illegal hunting, draft dodging, non-child support-paying Nugent loves to rant about the government shutdown, and how necessary it is to deal with the bloated mess the federal bureaucracy has become. But it’s quite apparent that he lacks the ability to apply this same forethought to his own life.
Neither Nugent nor any of the tea bag folks yelling to shut it down can understand who is being hurt, the cost to the economy, or the important work that is currently in suspension.
Our military is affected. The families of those killed over the weekend did not immediately receive the standard death benefit due to the shutdown (although President Obama has rectified this).
Funny how some folks who love guns won’t carry them for their country.
