Showing a complete ignorance of the Constitution of the United States of America is a TEAvangelical pastime. The U.S. Constitution is entirely secular, and establishes a government which derives its power from “We The People,” not from any gods or religion. The Constitution never mentions the Judeo-Christian God or anything having to do with that religion. The words, “Jesus, Christ, Christian, Messiah, Lamb of God, Gospel, Apostle, New Testament, Bible, Biblical, Christianity, Jehovah, Yahweh, God” do not appear. The only times the word “religion” appears is to forbid its endorsement or privilege by the State.
But that doesn’t stop pathological liar, and Christian Taliban extremist Bryan Fischer of the “American Family Association.”
Fischer resorts to some Old Testament finger-wagging to explain why the U.S. economy is “in a slump.”
After reading from the book of Haggai, Fischer says,
“If you want a prosperous economy, you’ve got to have a vibrant spirituality. When you worship God, you are not just doing the right thing in terms of your relationship with God, you are doing your patriotic duty.”
“It is your patriotic duty to worship God in order that we have a prosperous and flourishing economy,” he said.
