In what was probably one of his lowest points ever, former presidential candidate and current Fox News host Mike Huckabee took to his radio program this Wednesday– speculating as to why Muslims act like “uncorked animals” at certain times of the month.
In the wake of the recent terror threats to U.S. embassies around the world, Huckabee pointed to the fact that it’s nearing the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. “I know we’re not supposed to say anything unkind about Islam,” Huckabee said. “I mean, it’s politically incorrect. I get that. But can someone explain to me why it is that we tiptoe around a religion that promotes the most murderous mayhem on the planet in their so-called ‘holiest days?’”
Huckabee delved even deeper into his rant, seemingly not caring about its bigoted implications.
“You know, if you kept up with the Middle East, you know that the most likely time to have an uprising of rock-throwing and rioting comes on the day of prayer on Friday,” he continued. “So the Muslims will go to the mosque, and they will have their day of prayer, and they come out of there like uncorked animals, throwing rocks and burning cars.”
After somewhat walking back his comments by claiming he’s “not saying all Muslims are radical,” Huckabee stooped to the old adage of comparing his Christian faith to the Muslim faith, saying that he hasn’t yet heard the government issue any warnings about Christians being violent during holidays.
Clearly, he’s never been to Best Buy on Black Friday.
