TEApublican Gun-Psychos Threaten To Kill Another Democratic Lawmaker! (Video)

The New York Police Department is investigating death threats against another Democratic lawmaker for daring to take steps to reduce gun violence. Maloney supports a bill requiring gun owners to carry liability insurance or face a fine of up to $10,000. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) received calls threatening her life, which prompted her to cancel a public appearance on April 2nd.

This isn’t the first time supporters of gun safety regulations have been threatened by TEApublicans.  AATTP reported that in February a crazy Tea Partier was arrested for threatening to kill a Colorado lawmaker and her daughter over her support for gun safety regulations.

Here’s the report from WPIX:

You guys do realiz, I’m getting an ad, accompanying this story, offering tactical gun training, here in Dallas? Seems a bit hypocritical, to me.

    • AATTP

We have limited control over that, but try to filter out ads that aren’t relevant and/or don’t meet our ethical standards when we become aware of them. Do you know what the name of the place was?

      • JC

Those are bot-search ads that target search content. Not much you can do. Go searching for snowshoes in Alaska and you will end up with snowshoe ads that eerily follow you around. I currently have some women’s Russian fur hats on my page. An inadvertent click and … that’s what I get. So, I’d guess you were clicking on gun sales sites for some reason.

        • MiraJ

Um, no. No to your speculation that someone may have clicked on gun sales sites and that may be the reason for getting ads promoting tactical gun training. I never have and I get “Buygunss here!” ads all the time. It is because the bot- search you mention “reads” clicks on any gun related issue as “Interested in guns!! Where’s an ad that mentions guns???” It goes for the noun but not the content.

          • JC

I don’t profess to understand the bot search concept. That’s what a guy who claims to know told me. I have “2nd Amendment” stuff all over my Facebook only because I have evidently shown some interest in the topic.

It depends on which browser you use. I use Firefox with ad blocker plus and see virtually no ads on any website. I was using Google chrome and got tired of being followed by ads for websites I had looked at in the past since that seems to be Googles new way of making money on ad clicks (do no evil? yeah right). Internet explorer, well lets not even think about that .

    • Liam

Ya, I know. I get the same thing on my blog. Writing an article from one point of view and all the google ads are for the opposite point of view. Whadda ya gunna do?

  • Mira J

Sadly, this is an old story regarding the threats against Con. Maloney.

  • JC

I suppose one could assume that the threats come from what we are loosely calling TEA-publicans. Really, is it wise to continue to connect a domestic terrorist to a political movement?

I admit it “quacks like a duck,” but there are any number of in-bred bozos out there who have no more idea about politics than they do about soap and water. The TEA movement may be against gun control but not all people who want uninfringed guns are members of the TEA movement.
Just wanted to go on record as suggesting we stop confusing the event with the philosophy. It might reduce some of the name-calling.

Probably not, but … hey … what else ya doing that works?

    • Shane

I applaud your relatively transparent efforts at damage control.

    • Janie

I don’t call them TEA-publicans. I call them teabillies. Is that ok?

      • JC

I honestly don’t care what you call them. I’ve called them worse but when it’s about them, specifically. I get tired of being called a “libtard” just because I want the killing to stop. I get tired of hearing people compare our president to Hitler. I get tired of hearing people call Obama “a half-breed illegal Muslim commie.” (Whatever that is.)
I just get tired of the dumb-sh*t labels. People who threaten to kill other people are domestic terrorists. That may possibly make them “Teabillies,” but I can’t be sure these idiots even know how to read. Their politics is irrelevant and their perverted view on economics is clearly neanderthal.
I just think we should start at least acting like we’re adults and stop with the labels.
