Creationist Darek Isaacs said during an online broadcast of Creation Today posted on Monday that evolutionary theory excuses rape. Isaacs, who has said that he believes in dragons because they are in the Bible, said that he has studied Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and other “purveyors of evolutionary thought,” and that he found himself in a “very, very dark place.”
Apparently, when exposed to actual science, Isaacs becomes crazier than normal. You have to start asking questions: Well, if evolution is true, and it’s just all about the male propagating their DNA, we had to ask hard questions, like, well, is rape wrong?” Isaacs said.
Isaacs added that marriage would be the “anathema” to an evolutionary world view because it limits sexual relations to one man and one woman (see what he did there?) for life.
“According to the evolutionary worldview, [if] that male is strong enough and he had wonderful genes, he should propagate his DNA as much as possible so that the species can progress,” Isaacs said. “So it redefines everything about our society.”
“If dragons in fact were entirely mythological, if they were a figment of the imagination, and if they never ever did exist, then God just compared our adversary to a make-believe creature that never existed,” he said in August 2013 on Creation Today.
