Owner of Red Jacket Firearms and host of Discovery’s Sons of Guns Will Hayden was recently arrested — and released on bail — after he was accused of molesting his twelve-year-old daughter. Hayden told TMZ his ex-girlfriend filed the charges in retaliation for him ending the relationship.
The host of the reality show, which focuses on the creation of dangerous yet impressive weapons, said that his daughter was interviewed by Child Protective Services and returned to his home — however, those interviews did not quite go as he expected.
Hayden’s daughter told investigators a chilling tale: In March, 2013, when she was 11-years-old, her father took her virginity. She said that she was raped “almost daily” but did not report it because Hayden threatened her physically. The most recent abuse occurred in July 2014, according to court filings.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Hayden told the little girl, “Don’t tell them nothing, because I’m all you got.” Hayden had been arrested again, with a charge of child rape added to the molestation case he already faces.
Things just keep getting worse for Hayden. Discovery has announced that it is permanently ending the show’s run.
A representative for the TV channel told TMZ, “Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of Sons of Guns and cancel the series.”
Red Jacket Firearms has also severed ties with Hayden.
Last year, it was discovered that Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Fauxbilly Duck Dynasty clan, had advocated for men marrying children in a 1996 sermon amid the controversy over his disgusting remarks regarding black people, the LGBT community, Muslims, the Chinese, and more.
Somehow, he still has a show.
