SNL: Marco Rubio Thirst Due to ‘Cinnamon Challenge’ (Video)

Senator Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla) insanely awkward sip of water during his State of the Union reply has been mocked by everyone from undercover liberal, Stephen Colbert,  to late night talk show host, David Letterman.  Of course, Saturday Night Live had to give us their take on the “drink seen round the world” too.  Watch “Marco Rubio,” on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers, explaining why he was so darned thirsty!

Interestingly, it’s being reported that Sen. Rubio has raised over $100K for his PAC from bottled water sales since his SOTU gaffe.  His PAC’s website says:

“Send the liberal detractors a message that not only does Marco Rubio inspire you…he hydrates you too.”

We must admit, that’s pretty funny.  But, so is this from the amazing Mario Piperni!

If you’re not familiar with the “cinnamon challenge,” here’s an explanation from Wikipedia.  Please note, AATTP advises you NOT try this at home (or anywhere)!

“The cinnamon challenge is a form of competitive eating. The objective of the challenge is to swallow a tablespoon of ground cinnamon in under 60 seconds without drinking anything, then upload the video to the Internet.  The challenge is extremely difficult and carries substantial health risks because the cinnamon coats and dries the mouth and throat, resulting in coughing, gagging, vomiting and inhaling of cinnamon, leading to throat irritation, breathing difficulties and a risk of pneumonia.”
