The growth of the Internet has brought innovative methods for students to reach out to others to tackle important issues. On the other hand, it also provides them new ways to torment their peers. Bullying affects nearly one in three American schoolchildren in grades six through 10 and even all the way through college.
Because not taking action can result in such extreme and, sometimes, irreversible consequences, bullying in schools has recently found a prominent place in the national spotlight.
Hoping to promote awareness and make a positive change, one group came together to expose the harsh reality of bullying by setting up a very telling experiment. The experiment they concocted makes a clear case that when we see someone, especially a kid, being harassed and bullied, it is ALL of our responsibilities to step in and help.
