Just when you thought Walmart couldn’t get any more evil, they go and arrest a disabled shopper for attempting to ad-match a product.
Joe Cantrell, a Walmart addict who visited the store twice a day, was banned from all the company’s stores for life and even handcuffed when he tried to return, according to the International Business Times.
Cantrell, a former wrestler disabled by years of injuries, was simply trying to present an advert he had found in the newspaper to staff at his local Walmart. But the employee who served him decided to call the local Sheriff’s office, as apparently Cantrell was exhibiting threatening behavior.
“I was handcuffed, humiliated and embarrassed in front of everybody at Walmart,” Cantrell said after the ordeal. “I felt shamed. I felt like I was the bad guy. And I know I’m not a bad guy.”
