The nefarious players in the Bush Administration, should all go according to plan, will be headed to court this September 11 in order to defend themselves in a trial over their alleged war crimes.
It only seems fitting that it will begin on the 13th anniversary of the infamous day that brought America to its knees.
The day that changed the mission of the Bush Administration into a warhawk corporate slave willing to go to any extremes, including torturing hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent Muslims around the world in secret torture chambers operated by the CIA may also become known as the day the Bush began the long journey towards finally being held responsible for the unspeakable atrocities committed not only under his watch but at his behest.
Inder Comar, Esq. has filed a lawsuit on behalf of their plaintiff Sundus Shaker Saleh, an Iraqi refugee.
The suit claims that Bush and his cronies had been planning the Iraq invasion as early as 1997, which would take away their status of immunity as diplomats and leaders of a country merely executing the duties of their position.
The fact that this case is moving forward is due in large part to the fact that Inder Comar, Esq. has provided documentation in support of this theory – as this case was preliminarily dismissed prior due to a lack of evidence.
There is strong case law backing this up, which holds strong in international court, as well as backed by the official stance of the US Government – the Nuremburg Trials. When Nazi’s were placed on trial post WWII for the actions they took in war they could not claim they were merely executing their duties as a part of their position even if it violated international agreements.
Bush and his senior administrative officials, without question by many around the world, have clearly and deliberately violated the Geneva Conventions.
The Justice Department, in typical fashion, has requested a dismissal. The judge has declined to acquisce to this demand and barring any unforeseen occurrences the trial is set to begin on September 11, 2014.
