Texas Governor Rick Perry is trying to parse his wife’s words because she said that women have the right to choose — and by that she meant abortion.
The Governor, who in the past has been befuddled by counting to 3, tried to rectify the situation.
“From time to time, we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place, and you pounce upon it,” Perry explained.
His stance on abortion is clear. The Governor aggressively supported SB5 legislation that threatens full service health facilities for women while also burdening such centers with draconian regulations. This was the bill that Wendy Davis fought so hard to prevent from coming to a vote.
Perry, the Mr., is trying to desperately back-peddle from Perry, the Mrs.
There weren’t many words in her statement so it is difficult to reinterpret them.
The wife of the Governor posited clearly that she regards abortion “as a woman’s right.”
It is unclear what Governor Perry’s sister believes about abortion. Her company is poised to make a great deal of money as a consequence of the above-cited legislation.
