Big Earl’s, a Texas restaurant that recently told a gay couple not to come back because of alleged “leg touching,”has developed quite a reputation…as a gay bar. Ever since “Big” Earl Cheney spoke out in support of his daughter’s decision to tell a gay couple not to return, the internet has been waging war on the restaurant via social media.
The restaurant, if one is to believe the Yelp review page, went from an obscure, mediocre dive–to the best gay bar in the freakin’ universe, man! Or the worst, depending on the reviewer. Let’s face it–not everyone has the same kinks.
Colin Dewberry and Kelly Williams recalled that the waitress–Earl’s daughter– told them, “we don’t serve f*gs here.” According to Dewberry and Williams, she recited the phrase, “Here at Big Earl’s we like for men to act like men and for ladies to act like ladies, so we want you to never return,” as through it was being read from a piece of paper.
In truth, the phrase was being recited: she was paraphrasing the sign on the front door of the restaurant.
