My FOX 8 has reported on a Facebook post featuring a receipt from a Winston-Salem restaurant that has gone viral for apparently offering a customer discount for praying. Which, you know, is just what Jesus would do.
Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston-Salem, according to the receipt, offers up a 15% discount for praying in public. A Christian radio station, Z88.3 Orlando, FL, posted an image of the receipt to its Facebook page, where it’s since gotten more than 1,500 shares. Here’s the receipt in question:
One post reads on Z88.3’s website reads, “A friend of ours just shared her receipt from lunch where she got a discount for praying in public!!! How cool is that?”
The Huffington Post featured the restaurant a few years ago; it was formerly called the Breakfast of Course.
Perhaps someone needs to alert the local Satanic temple that they can get 15% off by praying in public? I’m sure that the owners would be just fine with that, right? You know, religious freedom and all that.
