Since the mid-1980’s America has been embroiled in a conflict that, while largely unmentioned, permeates to the core of our society. Yes, of course, we speak of the Cola Wars. What began as a profit-based skirmish between Coke and Pepsi has, as of the Super Bowl, erupted into full-blown battle with many conservatives racing to take up arms (presumably both ideologically and literally) for Pepsi.
What could have happened that would cause the right wing to abandon a ‘MURIKAN tradition? Well it was this commercial, aired at the Super Bowl:
Twitter exploded with right wing hatred directed at Coca Cola, many promising to give their money to Pepsi instead.
Facebook, however went a different direction with many conservatives threatening to switch to Dr. Pepper, which is currently licensed by Coca Cola:
Wait a minute, is that Oklahoma State Rep. Josh Cockroft we see demonstrating that he doesn’t think things through well enough to avoid funneling a bunch of money to Coca Cola in order to teach Coca Cola a lesson?
Why yes, it IS Oklahoma State Rep Josh Cockroft!
Wait till they find out how much Pepsi supports gay rights.
