When Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves and declared war on the Confederacy, he wasn’t fighting for the preservation of the Union, he was actually imposing socialism on everyone and setting the stage for enslaving us all. Thus saith religious nutbag Walter Kennedy, who talked with radio host Kevin Swanson.
Swanson, according to The Raw Story, hosted the League of the South founder on his show, and agreed with Kennedy about his views that Lincoln was a Marxist who set the stage for a huge, indivisible government that nobody could oppose when he launched the Civil War. They also agreed that it was communists who founded the Republican Party.
They also attacked public schools together, claiming that the purpose behind the public school system is to make all children think alike. Swanson said:
“Post-Civil War, you’ve got the socialist goals, the communist platform, the Manifesto platform, I think there are 10 elements to the platform, one by one they come about in our country – and first was the public schools. And of course we’re dealing with Common Core today, the imposition of Washington’s agenda in every single district across America. But it began with the Morrill Land Grant Act, that authorized federal aid to establish federal government control of education.”
“[The Land Grant Act began] in the midst of the War Between the States. And Morrill, that was the same guy that wanted the high, high tariff, he was the radical Republican, and he was loaning the use of the power of the government to promote his objectives, and one of the objectives that they want to do was remold the education in the United States to make all the children to think alike, and to think what the government wanted them to think, the way the government wanted them to think.”
Kennedy went on to say that public schools were no different than the propaganda of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and North Korea. In other words, Lincoln apparently founded the public school system for the sole purpose of introducing communism into the United States, and to force it on the citizens of the South.
The Land Grant Act had to do with higher education, colleges and universities, and not the public schools we know. There were several such Acts, which, despite misuse on the part of the states, created the foundation of the public university system we have today. At the time, Justin Morrill saw a need for federal financing of higher education in regards to agriculture and mechanics, because those were the dominant industries of the day. Of course, these people think anything “public” is socialism, so obviously, public schools and universities are Lincoln’s brand of forcing socialism on us.
Sadly, twisting history around is what nutbags like Kennedy and Swanson do, because it furthers their own ideas about how we became such a socialist nation. These two probably never thought of all the things they benefit from that wouldn’t exist without our alleged socialist tendencies.
