Fox Commentator Brit Hume has stated the obvious: the plethora of ultra conservative media influences politicians.
And water remains wet.
Although many Tea Party politicians represent constituents that need government services including health insurance, they feel forced to continue to oppose Obamacare — even if it means a shutdown of the government and long-term damage to the GOP brand.
Last year, 15% of the population, approximately 48 million people, lacked coverage. In every other developed nation, that figure is zero.
There is an urgent need in every area of our country to roll out Obamacare, but certain radio and television programs continue to disseminate misinformation about expanding health coverage.
Hume, in a conversation with Fox News hit man…or commentator, Bill O’Reilly, states that conservative media is more of an influence than a controlling factor for many elected officials, especially Congressional Representatives.
In fact, such talk, which permeates the airways, is one of the most important parts of the survival strategy dynamic.
Many conservative leaders who exert influence in Washington were blindsided by a primary challenge on the right. Richard Lugar of Indiana and Mike Castle of Delaware are two examples of this.
Currently Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham are worried about Tea Party challengers.
