HomeCrimeRacist KKK Tea Partiers Face Terrorism Charges!

Racist KKK Tea Partiers Face Terrorism Charges!

You’ve got to hand it to crazy Tea Party racists; they sure do know how to make headlines.  Take for example the two geniuses who are now facing terrorism charges in upstate New York after conspiring to use an “X-Ray” gun that they built while working at General Electric to kill Muslims while they sleep. To make the story even more perfect, one of the men is both a member of the Ku Klux Klan and the Tea Party Patriots. You know, TEApublicans get really angry when you accuse them of having racists in their flock, you may want to bookmark this story and send it to them every time you hear one of them whine and moan about being unfairly portrayed in the media.

Glendon Scott Crawford and Eric J. Feight are now awaiting charges after constructing a weapon that the FBI said was never operable, but that was designed to essentially be a “Hiroshima on a light switch,” as it was so lovingly referred to by Crawford. Apparently these two have a major ax to grind against people of the Islamic faith because before starting this little project of his, Crawford went trawling around synagogues in his area, looking for people sympathetic to his Islamophobic campaign.

I feel almost kind of sad writing this story actually — it’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Over and over again people on the left have warned that the Tea Party contained within it some of the most unsavory and racist elements. That is the place from which they embraced the “birther” nonsense. It’s racism that makes their mouths foam at the mere suggestion of immigration reform. It’s racism that’s at the heart of disenfranchising minority voters with voter ID laws. They represent systemic discrimination and have always viewed liberals as a threat to their tight-fisted control of the power.

Just why did Crawford refer to Obama in an email just after the Boston Bombing as “treasoness [sic] bedwetting [sic] maggot in chief?” Because in Crawford’s words Obama brought “the muzzies here without background checks.” This is the problem with spending ten years fighting faceless wars in far off countries. These idiots have no idea what they’re talking about, but they see “Barack Hussein Obama” and immediately their brain latches onto “Muslim” and they won’t let go. Obama calls himself a Christian, but that doesn’t matter to the simpletons who believe people like Donald Trump and Alex Jones. They have their chew toy, and they’re not letting go.

I’m not about to stand up on a soap box and condemn every person who calls themselves a Tea Party Patriot a racist. I’m just saying that maybe now is the best time possible for them to start policing their own. Throughout time there have been those on both ideological extreme fringes that have resorted to violence and intimidation in a desperate attempt to hijack control of the dialog on a particular subject. These people can’t be reasoned with, and they don’t belong in any rational political discussion or party. The Tea Party would do well to distance themselves from the truly unstable and racist among them. The problem is — they can’t.

The issue is that the largest base of power for the Tea Party are the very same people who get all their news from sites like World News Daily and channels like Fox News. They are denied the simple truth every day, almost pathologically, so that if ever the truth is given to them, they deny it. People like Crawford and Feight have existed forever; being a violent racist asshole is nothing new. What is new is that a multi-billion dollar media industry that includes names like Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck have spent the last thirty years encouraging this kind of insane irrationality.

They can never explain how, for instance, Obama was able to dupe and hoodwink everyone who helped him get elected as president twice into believing he’s not a Communist Kenyan. They can’t explain why he’d go through all the trouble of bringing down the United States from within, if he’s truly as connected to the most evil and sinister of all the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists in the world and could just orchestrate an attack that way. They just don’t deal in a world of reality, and therefore they can plot and plan things that are just wholly unreal.

So what we have here is just one more warning to the right-wing, at the end of the day. It’s a warning that they are letting their movement be hijacked by stupid people. Smart people don’t try to build a mobile Death Star gun to shoot at random people they think are Muslims in their sleep (how many innocent Sikhs do you think would have died if these two Bozos had figured out how to actually make their weapon work?). Smart people don’t see a name like “Obama” and immediately presume “Muslim.” Stupid people do that stuff. Stupid people and racists, and we’re only left with one question in the end.

Will the GOP wake up in time, or will it take an electoral bloodbath to finally muzzle the morons among them?

About James Schlarmann

James is in his thirties and gets really passionately angry about politics. Sometimes that anger foments into diatribes, and sometimes those diatribes are comical. Other times, they are not. For more of James's work check out his blog, ThePoliticalGarbageChute.com.
  • rightisRIGHT

Hey guys, look! Thousands of left wing terrorists! Obviously all lefties are terrorists.

  • Samantha

learn know and understand that at its origin you will find the Koch brothers helping to fund the tea party movement. This is significant because of their history their family has played in politics from, Hitler and the prominent positions some of their family members played in his regime to also playing significant roles in the john burke society. Their Neo-Nazi beliefs and tendencies are at the core of the tea party and many who follow and join the tea party don’t even know it. Research is necessary for critical thinking and I don’t believe all tea party members are bad they just believe in the rights and freedoms this country “stands for”, however, that’s what enticed many of the members… the ideology that they are doing it for “God and country”… I call shenanigans and for many of the members to wake up and smell the BS they are being fed by their neo-Nazi comrades… smh! don’t believe me… google it, do the research…. TRUTH never nor has reason to lie…

The GOP is now paralyzed due to infighting; this will not be resolved by 2014 or 2016. By then, we will have reached the tipping point to a Democratic supermajority.

That said: keep working, keep voting. The things we do in the home stretch will make or break our game.

“I’m not about to stand up on a soap box and condemn every person who calls themselves a Tea Party Patriot a racist.”

And I’m NEVER going to call ANY of them “Patriots” if the prefix “Tea Party” is used.

  • JC

“Electing” these people out of office is going to achieve … what? These two hate-makers are going to exist no matter which “party” runs the government. I am still appalled that we have one meme in this country: Obama and everything else. Begin to look at society, not the White House.

  • https://www.facebook.com/bikerbear.mcdougalle BikerBear McDougalle

This is a bull shit story. Of all the Teaparty you got a nut case ,
So all of us are this way. I guess that means if one out of a Million is like this we all are. SO then that means all the Dems out here are Just like Obama.RACIST to the BONE. Think about it a min or two. Look at the way things have returned to the 50s under Obama. SO talk to him about it. The TEAPARTY is NOT like this and you all know it. The Great Lord O is behind almost every Racist thing out here right now. If you think I am wrong ,Think again. He has made it legal for Black people to do what they want to Whites. If a White person does even the smallest little thing, He and the rest of the Lame Stream Media start with RACIST this or that. SO ,This story is all BULL SHIT!!!! SO prove me wrong here. The ball is yours.Tell me how things are not the way they are. A race war is not that far off the grid. I pray it does not happen. But if Obama and the rest in DC have their way it will happen. This will be the end of America as we know it.Or, Should I say as people over 50 knew it.

    • Sharon

I don’t know what you’ve been drinking but I think you should stop. Maybe turn off faux news once in a while.

    • galactus

Yeah, You are all that way even if you manage to sound reasonable. You are the worst kind of UnAmerican toilet scum. We will defeat your shitty candidates and repeal all of your asswipe laws and gerrymandering is going to be ended along with your favorite…filibustering. Get used to it.

    • me

i attended a political rally in pittsburgh that was being being protested by a handful of “teabags”. they were angry, resentful, rude and very marginal looking…illiterate too,as some of their signs were misspelled. basically they seemed like losers who were proud of their anger and hatred and defined themselves through their negativism. bear, why not admit that your hatred is based on racism and your anger is based on your fear of being so marginal you are unable to succeed in society.

    • http://twitter.com/Korteztk Kortez (@Korteztk)

Well, maybe you ARE racist. If you express yourself in racist terms and have to excuse it away it’s because you are what you deny. Racists have problems with the races and groups they then claim they have no problems with. Interestingly enough they will go on long rants that expose their problems or listen or watch to those media that also feel the same way. Do you fit that mold?

    • Coro93

Dude called President Obama racist and then said it was the end of America as the generation of people over 50 knew it haha Please kill yourself. I guess it wasn’t racist to murder, lynch, bomb churches, homes and schools to deny human being the rights expressed in The Bill of Rights and US Constitution. I guess sicking dogs and firehoses on veterans and civilian citizens of color wasn’t racist. Amerikkka is going to bust Hell wide open in the last days

Not to be nit-picky, but the phrase “innocent Sikhs” (as opposed to guilty Muslims?) feels a bit Freudian in a bad way.

  • https://www.facebook.com/bthomas.cooper B Thomas Cooper

I obviously don’t know every member of the Tea Party, but those that I do know, are all either drunks, racists, or both!

  • http://gravatar.com/zahrahrealworldstuff Sherry

I work near where these guys live. It made blurb last month in the Kingston Freeman paper. These right-wingers are so brainwashed, misguided and misdirected. They don’t have the ability or desire to actually become educated. They believe the hateful lies they are told and then because they are “true patriots” (the mantra of the fascist right), they need to do “something” against the “evil” Muslims and liberals. These people need to take a good, long look in the mirror. The evil they seek is the evil they are.

Might I suggest sending the complete history of Tea Party Racism to every tea bagger who denies Tea Party racism, courtesy History Commons – somebody’s keeping track:)

An X-ray gun? Teapublicans? What part of “survival of the fittest” do these people not understand?

I wonder if they got the plans off the Internet? That’s probably why the FBI didn’t say much about the design – the FBI doesn’t understand physics or electricity any better than the two clowns in the story.

They should be punished by allowing them to finish building the machine, then when it doesn’t work they can be X-rayed to death in a working machine.

Who knows – maybe we’ll discover the bit of the brains and hearts that’s missing in right-wingers and christianists everywhere!

  • Daniel Dillon

I did some research tonight on this article tonight with look at both newsprint and local television reports of the incident. I have not uncover not one article or broadcast referencing them to the tea party. So as far as I am concern, Mr. James Schlarmann concocted that portion of the story unless he can provide a link of his source.

  • http://gravatar.com/crowtalker crowtalker

A friend of mine and I were discussing this earlier – I believe there were always many more of these people than we thought; it’s just that something (my guess is “W”) that triggered them coming out from under their rocks. They didn’t used to vocalize so much, except around the supper table; but NOW, they found their voices and are screaming it out for the world to hear.

  • http://youtube.com/j3doeslife J3DoesLife

So if a few members of the Tea Party do something like this than they are a bunch of racist- Ok. So if members of the NAACP were to do something like this would you label them as ALL racist and ALL terrorist? Of coarse you wouldn’t, that would be racist.

    • http://www.facebook.com/joseph.serrano.963 PwningULOL

If the NAACP, a civil rights organization and not a goosestepping pseudo-fascist group of stupid people, ever tried to construct a weapon to kill people in their sleep because of their skin color then yes we would. However, that would never happen because the NAACP is constituted of educated non-violent individuals, unlike the morons with three-corner hats.

      • https://www.facebook.com/brian.breese.7 Brian Breese

        Bravo Pwning

    • Bob Cull

There is an old adage, J3, which advises that “You are known by the company you keep.” If you agree with a bunch of racists on everything else, you most likely agree with their racism as well. Just because you don’t say it out loud that is not proof that you don’t think it silently.

    • https://www.facebook.com/cashaww Michael Cashaw

I think the author stated this in the article, not all Tea Party Members are raciest, but it is thought there is a strong undercurrent of racism in Party. This seems to be the most extreme, but is not by far the sole example.

    • fred

Racism is firmly ingrained the teabaggers movement, this just shows yet more to the mountain of evidence.

Here is a clue for you. The confederate flag represents a sector of people that did not want to abolish slavery….

It amazes me when I have to point that out.

    • MargieR

@J3Does life: I can’t imagine the NAACP doing anything of the sort. Their purpose is to work on equal rights for ALL Americans. My family and friends have worked with them since their inception (Since they were first started, incase inception is a word you don’t know.) They have no political association, as such. They are also dedicated to PEACEFUL change.

The simple point that you don’t know that, labels you as a Teapublican who is drinking the Koolaid as fast as it can be made.

    • https://www.facebook.com/siddharthist Tony Anderson

Umm, he says in the article; “I’m not about to stand up on a soap box and condemn every person who calls themselves a Tea Party Patriot a racist.”—- soooo, no?

    • https://www.facebook.com/SusanHolmesWeber Susan Holmes Weber

Go to Tea Party Patriots and you will see more than just a few racist posts. Racism is epidemic in Tea Party and Republicans.

    • Sharon

The writer said “I’m not about to stand up on a soap box and condemn every person who calls themselves a Tea Party Patriot a racist” Maybe you should not assume.

  • Pete C

I once knew a Hungarian who had fled Communist Hungary in the 1956 uprising. Unfortunately he had a serious persecution complex as an exile. But on thing I remember him always saying was. “Ah, if only I did not think out things and stayed ignorant I could be a happy man”. i.e. Ignorance is bliss. It seems the Tea Partiers are in living in Ignorant Bliss? So to bring them down from this blissful ignorant high and have them understand some reality is near on impossible, Just think, the withdrawal symptoms and recidivism could be very violent,

When you mix religion and politics, you get this frenzy, and the resulting atrocities.

  • https://www.facebook.com/guylauten Guy Lauten

I vote for bloodbath. I’ll bring the popcorn.

    • Steven

I have a friend who at age 32, got upset and argumentative and started talking about a “bloodbath”. He proceeded to go to a bar carrying his registered pistol and before the day was half over he ended up dead. Be careful what you wish for. You are not the only person carrying a gun. A sad but TRUE story.

  • Bob Cull

The thing that is the most sad about this whole affair is the fact that there are so many kindred souls out there who will see these guys as “heroes” and “true patriots” who are “only defending their nation” from those who would bring it down.

They should take a second look and then maybe they would see that, in fact, it is they who are working to bring it down, from within. They wish to establish their own version of the Sharia Law that they are so adamantly opposed to and that they are so sure that all of those with whom they disagree are attempting to impose.

The biggest threat to our way of life in this country is not Islam as they would have us believe, but the far right, Fundamentalist “Christians” and their insistence that this become a nation of “Christians.”

    • Noah Tenney

More like a nation of so-called “Christians” going against everything Christ taught.

    • http://www.facebook.com/joseph.serrano.963 PwningULOL

      Very well said Bob.

      • MargieR

        Spot on! Bob and Noah!

    • Steven

I absolutely agree with much of what you said. I also have great concerns about the motivations of those who make money by promoting hate and raceism .

    • SomeBody

They were jewish and attacking the ‘enemies of Israel’ (source: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/06/19/terror-plot-arrest-radiation-device-x-ray/2438599/)
Where did you get this christian thing? Perhaps you are full of hate for christians?

      • Bob Cull

Gee, Somebody (brave of you to hide behind a false identity while making personal attacks) I don’t know how anyone with a third grade education could read what I said and see it as an expression of hatred for Christians or anyone else.

I can’t find much on Feight but Crawford is KKK and the last I heard the Klan was not accepting Jewish members. It would seem your source of “information” is deficient, you might want to try a source other than Faux News, it is a scientifically proven fact that those who get their “news” only from Faux News are LESS informed than those who watch no news at all and do not read a newspaper either.

Oh, and by the way, the Klan prides itself on being a “Christian” organization.

  • Perry

If President Obama is a communist Islamist like they say he is, determined to bring this country down, why hasn’t he done it already? He’s been in office 4-1/2 years, including the first 2 years when Democrats controlled the House. What’s their excuse for the delay? Obviously none. However, I think people are starting to catch on that Teapublicans are the ones trying to destroy this country from within.

    • Bob Cull

Do ya think?! The problem is these idiots are so convinced that they HAVE to be right that no amount of evidence is going to convince them otherwise.

    • Steven

These Obama haters have been warning about all the horrible things that were supposed to happen ever since day one. Since all their claims are false and in their heads anyone who be foolish to believe them. What will be there excuse for doing nothing for 8 years when he is no longer president, “gee, we are sorry, we thought all these bad things would happen that didn’t!”

    • https://www.facebook.com/siddharthist Tony Anderson

To their logic, his joke; ” I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist I used to be.” Was an admission. You really can’t reason with some people.
