The butthurt attention whore over at RedState also known as Erick Erickson attempts with a recent post to single-handedly (the other hand is busy, we gather) take to task journalists he says are “such shameless whores.”
Erickson’s reasoning is that if Bush pissed you off, then Obama should piss you off, too. Yes, I said “reasoning”, not “comedy schtick.” Perhaps I misspoke.
[box type=”shadow”]”But you journalists have such erections for everything Barack Obama does, you can’t even summon outrage to report fairly on the latest b.s. from the administration over Obamacare. Is it any wonder so many people have stopped trusting you?”[/box]
That’s right, Sparky, we’re not outraged by Obamacare. We are in fact thrilled that less people are going to die as a result of having medical coverage. Our biggest regret is is 17,000 people who will die because their governors are party-line-towing red state, red-faced, rednecks and refused to sign their states up for expanded Medicaid. You know, Erick, your peeps.
Oh and by the way, just in case you didn’t have time to check your facts before running off at the mouth as so often folks on the right do, the most trusted news source in the U.S. isn’t you. It’s PBS News. Should you believe the number one most trusted news source is Fox, perhaps you should consider a return to school and take a first year basic course in statistics.
Erickson’s idiocy continues. He writes “Under the latest round of Obamacare delays for companies of 50 to 99 employees, companies who embrace the delay can layoff, restructure, and hire part time workers, but only if they swear to the IRS they are not doing so because of Obamacare. This comes on the heels of a much touted CBO report that finds only anecdotal evidence of a shift to part-time work now, but expects a shift in labor among small businesses in 2015.”
But really, let’s hear some more about how the CBO report stated that jobs will be ”destroyed”. We haven’t heard enough of that. Oh, wait, yes we have! It’s not true, but just in case someone hasn’t seen the CBO representative saying exactly the opposite on the evening news, here’s the video. Incidentally, what other government agency would be in a position to judge by the numbers whether a company is lying about the need to downsize, restructure or lay off a ton of people other than the IRS? You aren’t suggesting another governmental agency be created for just such a purpose, are you? It is generally assumed you folks over at the GOP are against more bureaucracy. So, only when it suits your agenda do you wish to expand government, then? Thought so. Are you really insinuating that businesses won’t LIE to the government about what they are doing? Have a seat, genius. Let me tell you a story about a little company called Freedom Industries.
Incidentally, you obviously do not know what “anecdote” means. An anecdote, or anecdotal evidence, means to cite an example of an instance that illustrates and PROVES a bigger FACT. What an anecdote does not do is prove a lie to be a fact regardless of how much proof there is supporting a fact. ONE instance of an occurrence does not equal a statistically provable fact. There, there, it’s understandable you wouldn’t know what the word means. You’re a conservative, after all. You’ve been using a single occurrence to lie to the American people for going on 35 years.
And this, Erickson’s classy closing comment, “But with President Obama, half of MSNBC still wants to have his baby and the women over there just want to be his mistress. Hell, France’s President has one.”
Sleeping with an honest man is still, in my book, more honest than associating with a crook, a liar, a thief, and of course, a pimp. And by “associating” I mean “bending over for.” Say hello to the Koch brothers for us, will you?
