If you thought the world could not get more sick than the White Power crowd, Ferguson police, and other delusional white people coming together to raise “reward” money for Officer Darren Wilson, the officer who shot and killed surrendering teen Michael Brown, something has popped on the interwebs that gives that effort a run for its money.
While they shut down mysteriously over the weekend, multiple GoFundMe drives have raised more than $400,000 to show appreciation for Officer Wilson. The idea of a fundraiser began with the Ku Klux Klan and caught fire faster than a gasoline-soaked cross. Predictably, things got so racist among donors that GoFundMe was forced to remove a hefty amount of comments that violated its terms of service.
Daniel Holtzclaw, a white Oklahoma City cop accused of raping eight women — all of them black and at least two while on duty — has found the same loving support on the internet as Wilson. Holtzclaw has been charged with one count of first degree burglary, seven counts of forcible oral sodomy, six counts of indecent exposure, four counts of first degree rape, six counts of sexual battery, and one count of stalking.
The officer’s family set up a new Facebook page loudly proclaiming the officer’s innocence and raising money for Holtzclaw. Yes, yes, it’s just as disgusting as you’d think.
The page, of course, posted numerous supportive messages for “The Claw.”
In just nine days, a GoFundMe set up for Holtzclaw has raised more than $7,000. “The pursuit of Justice will be lengthy, but with the support of Family, Friends, and the Community, Daniel Holtzclaw will be vindicated and justice will prevail,” the page declares. “All funds raised will assist Daniel and his Family as they seek the JUSTICE Daniel Holtzclaw so rightly deserves.”
Are they selling t-shirts? You bet they are!
Holtzclaw’s family released a statement through the page:
Statement for the Holtzclaw Family on behalf of Scott Adams Law Office:
As everyone is aware by now, a 16 count Information has been filed against Daniel. He has been informed of the charges and vehemently denies each and every one. Daniel asks that everyone remain strong during this difficult time. We ask for your continued support, thoughts, and prayers. Scott Adams attorney for family
Donations have reportedly slowed in recent days, but Holtzclaw is still rapidly gaining supporters.
Holtzclaw, according to prosecutors, stopped the African-American women while on patrol and threatened to arrest or harm them unless they exposed themselves, allowed him to touch them inappropriately, or had sex with him.
