Here’s something I never thought I’d never read: apparently, the Pope has a population control agenda.
Go ahead; let that sink in. It may take awhile.
In response to Pope Francis’ statements regarding climate change, urging Catholics worldwide to take measures that would protect and preserve the environment, Fox News has chosen to portray the Pope’s attention to climate change as a radical decision against his own church and a move towards aligning himself with “environmental extremists who favor widespread population control and wealth redistribution.”
That’s some masterful rejection of reality. I am simply in awe. Fox is the sort of media arm that Big Brother and Joesph Stalin only wish they had.
On the 30 December edition of Special Report, Fox News correspondent Doug McKelway claimed that the Pope will be “aligning himself with some church enemies” by taking up the climate change gauntlet. These enemies include “a few environmental extremists who favor widespread population control and wealth redistribution.” Two-bit corporate concubine, Marc Morano, also featured on the segment. Morano is a paid industry shill, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he lied when he said that there has been “no global warming” for “almost two decades.”
Why is that lie? Because Moreano is dishonestly cherry-picking data. Like the good little corporate coprophage that he is, he’s only telling half the story (providing he’s even getting his denialist lies right). Just like the parrots vomiting the neat little non-sequitur that “the climate’s always been changing.” Because apparently that means humans can’t change it; apparently that means humans aren’t producing excessive amounts of CO2, which have been associated with every single instance of gradual or sudden climate change on the planet; and it means they need a better line, since both of these are done. Class dismissed.
McKelway, who was fired from his previous job reporting for ABC’s Washington, D.C. affiliate for getting into a “shouting match” with his boss over his faulty criticism of “far left environmental groups,” warned that the Pope’s actions “may play well into the hands of skeptics who’ve long seen global warming fears as almost religious in its fervor, with biblical themes of a pristine Eden-like planet tarnished by man, followed by a loss of grace and a coming doomsday.”
Go get ’em, McKelway. Hit that strawman harder.
