In the pursuit of self-glorification, sometimes open carriers pretend to care about something besides their ability to legally blasturbate in public.
After open carriers canceled their march through an African-American neighborhood because their antics were clearly not welcome (and blamed black people), others have taken up the torch in the never-ending effort to appear as though they are not racist.
In the latest stunt, some open carry advocates in Richmond, Virginia showed up to support Michael Brown…or whatever his name is.
Oddly without clips in their weapons, the hosts of a failed open carry rally in Carytown, VA decided to attempt to earn some positive street cred with the African-American community by pretending to care about that one black kid who was gunned down by that cop guy.
If you haven’t guessed by now, the idiots didn’t even know Michael Brown’s name.
Open carrier Jason Spitzer, talking to someone who actually understands the situation in Ferguson, gave his take on the situation. “My thoughts on the whole thing from the beginning to the end is, let’s say, let’s play devil’s advocate here. Let’s say that Chris, not Chris, um, what was his name?”
“You’re at the rally, and you don’t know his name?” a man responded.
“I know his name was Ferguson,” Spitzer proudly declared.
“It’s not Ferguson at all,” the man responded as the crowd mocked the ignoramuses who brought guns to a rally against the shooting of an unarmed teenager. “You guys are here to serve your interests, as usual.”
