According to UNICEF, children make up one third of the civilian deaths in Israel’s war on Hamas. More than half of those children are under the age of 12.
Israel’s latest offensive attacks on the Gaza strip are leaving hundreds dead and many more wounded, as Israeli forces hit city centers and residential neighborhoods with airstrikes, shelling and the recent ground invasion.
From July 8th, until 4:00am on July 19, at least 73 Palestinian children have been reported killed as a result of airstrikes and shelling Israel aerial, naval and ground forces. The youngest was reportedly three months old.

Palestinian civilians are sadly the biggest victims in the latest dispute between Israel and Hamas, with the most recent death toll numbers indicating at least 342 civilians have died, and 2,556 have been injured injured according to Ashraf al-Kidra, a Gazan health official.
Israel has intensified its offensive attacks against Hamas inside the Gaza strip and have reported that they have identified over a 34 underground tunnels that allowed Hamas forces to enter Israel. Israel has destroyed over a dozen of the known tunnels.
So far diplomatic efforts have failed to install a cease-fire and bring the killing to an end. With one third of these victims being children, the urgency of a cease-fire cannot be understated.
