An Enid, Oklahoma business is facing backlash from the “PC crowd” over a few of its policies that all but the owner seem to find questionable, at best. Ward 4 Enid City Commission candidate Gary James promises a “n**ger-free experience,” and he has the t-shirt to prove it! No, really, there’s a t-shirt–as well as others with slurs against the LGBT community, Hispanics, and Democrats.
Gary’s Chicaros restaurant is a place where patrons can be themselves, as long as they are white, straight, Christians with a good job. Gary doesn’t tolerate what he considers to be “trash” in his restaurant. “I don’t like girlie men. I’m not fond of men with all kinds of metal in their face,” he said. “My customers don’t want them around, and I don’t want them around. I don’t consider that racist. I have black friends, but they are productive. Guys who come in with their britches down to their knees won’t get served in my place.”
Gary has developed very keen “gaydar” in his 44 years in business, as well as a talent for judging others based almost entirely on their skin color. “I’ve been in business 44 years, I think I can spot a freak or a faggot… I don’t deal with these people walking down the street with no jobs on welfare… If I reached over there and slapped the sh*t out of you, you should be offended. But to call someone a chink or someone call me a bigot, that doesn’t bother me.”
Apparently though, the easiest way for him to tell if someone isn’t welcome is their skin color. As another of his wonderful t-shirts says, his restaurant is “where the great whites gather.”
However, Mr. James is not a racist — he even says so himself! “If a racist is someone who doesn’t like unproductive trash, then it’s true. I’m talking about white, black, brown or yellow. I don’t like unproductive people,” James said Monday. The “not-racist” also added, “People who know me, know better.”
“If you work, you own a business, you pay your taxes,” Gary says, “you’re more than welcome in here.” Although, he recently kicked a disabled (white) former regular out of his restaurant for “creating an issue.” That issue, according to the customer, was his wheelchair.
Watch Gary explain exactly how “not racist” he is.
