The jobless report released today showed continued progress towards economic recovery. Jobless claims are down, housing and consumer confidence is up, and the DOW is only a few hundred points from it’s highest level since… ever.

” Republicans like to say we have a spending problem, not a taxing problem, but the evidence doesn’t back that up. Total government spending didn’t go up much during the Clinton era, and it’s actually declined during the Obama era. In the last two decades, it’s only gone up significantly during the Bush era, the same era in which taxes were cut dramatically.”

Remind your conservative friends what “out of control” spending looks like.
It’s becoming harder and harder for conservatives to continue the claim that reckless government spending and failed policies are the reality. Then again, when did facts ever get in the way of their message?
