Nothing says Merry Christmas more than a hand painted ornament sent to you from a war mongering, election stealing, oil hungry, propaganda fueling, “mission accomplishing,” Gitmo creating, Constitution violating, student Pell Grant cutting, women’s rights assaulting, (shall we go on?) Former President George W. Bush.
That’s right, kids! The artwork of George W. Bush, the painter known as “43″ is finally for sale and the George W. Bush Presidential Center is selling a limited-edition Christmas ornament that highlights one of Bush’s pieces (there’s an image I could have done without).
The ornament features a painting of a cardinal and is the first reproduction of the former president’s work to be available for purchase. The original was painted for a friend of Bush’s, Warren Tichenor, a San Antonio media executive and investor who was an ambassador in the Bush administration. I commend the former president for staying consistent in attempting to ruin all things pure, such as art.
The former president told The Dallas Morning News in April that with his new hobby, he takes “great delight in busting stereotypes.”
“People are surprised,” he said. “Of course, some people are surprised I can even read.”
Oh no, we don’t doubt your comprehensive reading skills, Mr. President. We all remember “My Pet Goat”. We’re just more surprised the ornaments are not finger painted.
