Right-wing radio host Larry Elder and numerous other conservative idiots have been circulating the latest in a lie-filled smear campaign against Michael Brown, the unarmed black teen gunned down in the street by Ferguson, MO police officer Darren Wilson.
When they’re not pushing discredited claims that Brown fractured Wilson’s eye socket, or claiming photos of convicted murderers are Michael Brown, or embarrassing themselves by filing a lawsuit demanding Brown’s juvenile records because it has been “confirmed” that he had a second degree murder charge, it seems that they are posting photos of a motocross rider after a crash and claiming it is Darren Wilson.
The flames were fanned by conservative radio host Larry Elder in a now-deleted blog post.
The photo was intended to push the discredited claims of Wilson’s “fractured eye socket” pushed by right-wing blogger Jim Hoft, who claimed a CT scan that, in actuality, was a stock photo from the University of Iowa, was definitive proof that Brown brutalized Officer Wilson.
It seems that conservatives are getting just a bit more lazy in their idiotic attempts to smear Michael Brown — almost as though they have given up. While this has already been thoroughly debunked, I decided to leave it to my five-year-old son.
I showed him these two pictures side-by-side, and asked, “Is this the same person?”
His answer was “No, daddy. They’re different people. Can I have a waffle?”
There you have it: A five year old can tell that the man on the left is not even remotely similar to the man on the right.
For the record, he did get a waffle…and bacon. However, I did veto his decision to watch Caillou because if I have to hear that theme song one more time I am going to go insane. We settled on The Real Ghostbusters.
But I digress.
The photo conservatives are claiming is of Wilson is actually Jim McNeil, who crashed in 2006 while riding at a friend’s house. He broke bones in his cheek, nose, jaw, and eye socket. This can be confirmed by a simple Google image search.
We also learned that Mr. McNeil died from injuries he sustained at Texas Motor Speedway in 2011, and we offer our most sincere (if belated) condolences.
The use of this man’s photo in a futile attempt to find something — anything — with which to smear Brown is both disgusting and depressing. Conservatives should be ashamed of themselves. However, to them, facts do not matter at all and shame is virtually nonexistent.
I’d like to propose the next Michael Brown hoax. This is a freebie, conservatives.
I found an EXCLUSIVE picture of Michael Brown smoking weed!
